Intergate Osaka Umeda
An affordable, pragmatic, new (2021) and rather stylish option in central Osaka. Service is good, the buffet breakfasts excellent, facilities are plentiful and rooms are clean and modern. It may not have the fancy accoutrements of a luxury hotel, but as an ideal base from which to explore the city, the Intergate doesn’t put a foot wrong.
Overview
To be honest, there is not too much to say about the Intergate in Osaka. That’s not to its detriment in any way – it’s a great hotel – it is instead simply a reflection of the hotels’ functional purpose. I have stayed here before, and will very happily stay here again, because it does exactly ‘what it says on the tin’ very well indeed. Clean, comfortable, friendly and rather stylish – no more, no less.
So, perhaps, the most informative and insightful text to write would be simply to list the facilities and amenities: a restaurant, a 24-hour fitness centre, coffee/tea facilities in a common area, decent WiFi, dry cleaning / laundry facilities, 24-hour front desk and 386 rooms with free tea bags/instant coffee, flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, hairdryers, safes and desks.
One of the stand-out features are the beds – Intergate have partnered with Simmons, whose beds are found in luxury hotels all over the world. Therefore, the mattresses offer superior cushioning, the ability to absorb and release moisture, and breathability. A good nights’ sleep is assured.
Location
The Intergate located in Umeda, a central neighbourhood in Osaka, and very near a metro station which affords easy access to all corners of the city.
